Mammary gland tumor summary
A summary of findings related to mammary gland tumors, most often excerpted from IARC Monographs or the NTP 11th ROC, and, in some cases, supplemented by our evaluation of individual studies and reviews, is available for the priority chemicals and 67 others.
NTP 11ROC: When administered by repeated intraperitoneal injection, procarbazine hydrochloride induced adenocarcinomas of the mammary gland in rats of both sexes. When administered by gavage, the compound induced adenocarcinomas or carcinomas of the mammary gland in female rats, but not in male rats.
Only review sources are listed for this chemical because of lower likelihood of exposure.

Review
When administered by repeated intraperitoneal injections produced adenocarcinomas of the mammary gland in rats only. Oral administration produced mammary tumors in rats (IARC 1981).

Review
When administered by repeated intraperitoneal injection, induced adenocarcinomas of the mammary gland in rats of both sexes. When administered by gavage, induced adenocarcinomas or carcinomas of the mammary gland in female rats (NCI 1979, IARC 1981, 1982, 1987).
