Mammary gland tumor summary
A summary of findings related to mammary gland tumors, most often excerpted from IARC Monographs or the NTP 11th ROC, and, in some cases, supplemented by our evaluation of individual studies and reviews, is available for the priority chemicals and 67 others.
An NTP study of clonitralid found increased mammary adenocarcinomas in male and female rats, however these findings were considered equivocal based on life-table analysis.

National Toxicology Program Technical Report 91, 1978
Primary Literature
Substantially increased mammary adenocarcinomas in female rats by ingestion. 1/20 (controls), 12/50 (mid), 11/50 (high) with much earlier time of onset in treated animals. Life-table analysis found this increase non-significant. Non-significant increase in mammary adenocarcinomas in treated male rats supports the finding in female rats.

Review
Not nominated for NTP testing in 1998-2003.
